The Palomar Chapter Annual Organ Scholarship Audition was held on Saturday, April 29, 2017.  Five students auditioned and all received scholarships toward organ lessons and/or an AGO Pipe Organ Encounter.  Congratulations to the scholarship recipients!

The Palomar Chapter holds Annual Organ Scholarship Auditions in the Spring for applicants of any age. Organists must reside in San Diego North County or study with a teacher who is a member of Palomar Chapter. An applicant may audition once on piano for a set of introductory organ lessons. Local piano teachers are given information about the auditions. Scholarship money awarded may be used for lessons or other type of organ camp. Lessons must be given by a member of AGO. The scholarship money comes from a fund which is added to each year by proceeds from a Scholarship Benefit Concert and Dinner held in the Fall of the year. The concert is based on a theme and features chapter organists, two scholarship winners, and a massed choir with singers from local church choirs and the San Luis Rey Chorale.

The following documents provide information regarding the April 29, 2017 audition process.  The next scholarship audition will be scheduled in Spring 2018, TBA.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
